Templum Markets is a blockchain based solution for accredited investors to access private investment opportunities. This included a platform for capital raising and secondary trading of holdings, allowing investors unprecedented liquidity from private assets.
My Role
I joined Templum as the sole designer and helped architect the brand and platform from the ground up. This included developing a complex onboarding process, a capital raising platform, a trading platform, and a backend administrator platform for internal use.
Primary Offerings are the core of the business, and need to be accessible and enticing for users. I modeled this part of the platform off of crowdfunding sites. These investment opportunities can include portfolios of real-estate, small and large businesses, technology assets, and more. The platform needed to be flexible enough to accommodate a large variety of investment opportunities while making critical information clear and accessible.
The data room is the most important feature of the platform. This is where the investment documents are stored for legal compliance in perpetuity. This page contains the financial statements that give analysts insights into the ROI potential for each asset on the platform. It also serves as a communication center for issuers to post news regarding the assets.
After an initial lockup period expires, assets on the platform may become eligible for trading on the proprietary secondary market. These assets typically trade in very low volumes due to the closed nature of the product. The order book is meant to be very simple so as not give the impression of high volatility.
The options chain order ticket is much more advanced than the standard stock order counterpart. Advanced information regarding the selected strategy is visualized using tables and charts. This makes it easy to change the order and see the effect on potential risk and upside.
In addition to the customer facing platform, I designed the backend administrative platform. This allowed the employees of the broker-dealer to manage client relations, launch offerings, and manage critical elements of the trading infrastructure.
As part of the roadmap for the application I created mobile versions of the core functions of the platform.
